Colonel John Glenn was an officer in the US Marine Corps from 1943 to 1965. He was a pilot, and flew very fast jet planes. He started a new job in 1959 that year be began to work at NASA.
Colonel Glenn was the first American to fly around the earth in space on February 20, 1962. He flew 162 miles above the earth and travelled 17500 miles per hour. He circled the earth 3 times in a NASA space ship. The trip was 4 hours and 55 minutes long. Colonel Glenn was 40 years old at the time.
In 1998, he flew into space a second time. This second trip was 9 days long. He travelled 3600000 miles and circle the earth 134 times in 213 hours and 44 minutes at the time of this second flight, Colonel Genn was 77 yeard old.

EXERCISE 1

1. Good shopping means getting a lot for your money. Sometimes, you need to pay a high price for something that is just right. At other times, you look for a sale in a store to go to a flea market to find something that is second-hand. Flea markets are usually outside, but they may also be inside very big buildings. Lots of people are there, and they sell old or used things at much lower prices.

2. Shopping at flea markets can be fun, but there are some things you need to know before you go. Find out how much it costs to get in. Wear walking shoes because you'll walk a lot. daily life and work 2 Mrs Nani ( KIBI 2020 )

Good Morning

I usually wake up at 7 am. I stay in bed about 10 minutes before I get up.
I wash my face and take a shower. Then I dry and comb my hair.
I have a breakfast at around 8.30. After breakfast I brush my teeth.
I leave home at around 8.50. I take a bus to work.
I arrive work at around 10.00. I have a cup a coffee while I read the news
Then I check my emails and file my papers.
I ussualy make some telephone calls. Then I report to my boss
At around 1 pm I have lunch, I ussualy work on the computer.
I have afternoon tea at around 4 pm and eat some snacks.
I leave work at 6.30. I take a train and go to gym before I go home.
I work out for almost an hour.
I arrive home at around 8.00. If I don’t feel so tired I cook dinner
I have dinner at around 9.00. I relax on my armchair and watch tv.
At around 11.30 I set the alarm and read the book for about 30 minutes.
Then finally at around 12pm I turn off the lights and go to bed.
On Saturdays, I ussually go grocery shopping early in the morning.
In the afternoon, I play some basketball.
At night I go out with my friends and have some fun.
On Sunday morning we go to church, and if there is lots of noise coming from next door, sometimes we fight with the neighbour.
If we are angry at the neighbour, we seek vengeance by annoying his dog.
Sometimes I hire a movie, because I don’t like to illegally download music and films.
Before I go to bed I make sure that I recharge my cellphone and meditate reduce the stress I get during the week
If iam sick I have to take my medication, but then I get into my pyjamas and set the alarm so I wake up in the morning.
